About Tazmin
Tazmin Lewis is a Registered Dietitian based in London, with over ten years of experience. She is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA), where she also serves on the Maternal and Fertility Group committee.
Tazmin balances her time with private clients, whilst working for the NHS in London as a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian (in neonates & diabetes). She has spent several years specialising in diabetes for adults and children with experience in both Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes. Though she had already worked in maternal health for several years, it wasn’t until her own pregnancy in 2019 that she saw firsthand the overwhelming nutrition misinformation women face. and that mums and mums-to-be deserved better! A passion was born and Tazmin now dedicates a lot of her time supporting mothers-to-be with optimal nutrition.
During her second maternity leave in 2022, Tazmin became a breastfeeding peer volunteer, which confirmed her passion to supporting women during the early years of motherhood. She then was successful into getting a job as a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian role, applying her expertise from adult nutrition to paediatrics. This combination of maternal and paediatric experience uniquely positions her to provide comprehensive, evidence-based support from preconception to early childhood.
Quite typically as a dietitian, Tazmin loves food and when the opportunity arises to have a night off parenting, you’ll often find her out eating delicious food! Being half Indonesian, Tazmin was lucky to have travelled quite extensively growing up and it sparked a love for good food all over the world. She also enjoys baking and cooking for her family.
